Art Critic and Ceramics Professor Susannah Israel
Susannah Israel is an artist, writer and educator living in East Oakland. She teaches Art History, Ceramics and Sculpture at Peralta Colleges, at the Merritt and Laney campuses. She has also been artist and writer-in-residence around the country, and will be reading from her published articles about art, life and music. This is her first radio appearance.

Today we speak with Lousine Shamamian and Rose Nemet. Lousine is in the bay area for her one woman tragicomedy performance, Shake The Earth, which hinges on the tension of Armenian and gay pride. Rose, who is producing Shake The Earth with Lousine, is a community activist with AGBU (Armenian General Benevolent Union) Young Professionals of Northern California.

Regina Evans recently spoke at the Not Ur Baby Pt. II art show, the proceeds of which went to support her boutique, Regina's Door, located in downtown Oakland. Regina's Door is a is a customer-service oriented boutique specializing in exquisite vintage dresses and pieces from the Victorian Era to the 1980's. It is also a sanctuary of solace for survivors of sex trafficking, young creatives, at-risk youth, homeless youth, and women.
